It's hot out here in Southern California! Wow! I'm hoping this is not an indication of what summer is going to be like. On the upside, Jonas and I went on a hike this weekend and it was beautiful. And now with the time change, I'm looking forward to walks and more hikes.
I gifted this chipboard album to a friend of mine as a housewarming gift. I like how it came out.
The album is five pages and I used paper that I bought at Costco a while ago. I liked it because it has an antique and distressed look. The tile look on the first page was time consuming! I cut out scalloped strips with the Cricut Accent Essentials. If I did it again, I would have used a larger size for the strips.
I tried to keep this album simple and I didn't include photo mats so my friend would have freedom on how she wanted to add her pictures.
I'm so happy to have used my Hero Arts stamps for the butterflies. I'm always happy when I can incorporate stamping to my scrapbooking projects. I also used my Copic markers on the butterflies. My friend loved the album. It's always great to see people's reactions to scrapbook gifts. Love it!
Blessings!

It's a wonderful Saturday out here in Southern California. Sunny and warm. I went to a Copic class this morning. It was great! It was a class for beginners. I learned a lot about blending, feathering, using the colorless blender and airbrushing with the markers. I'm looking forward to playing with the markers!
I did some scrapbooking the other night...I'm trying to catch up on scrapbooking before the baby is born because I know that after that I will be scrapbooking just baby pictures!
These pictures are from a off-roading trip Jonas took to Silverwood Lake. He loves it there...in fact, he's out there again today. I love the "Road Less Traveled" embellishment. It's a Jolee's sticker.
Off-roading is one of those things that makes Jonas super happy...like scrapbooking for me! What makes you happy? Well, I'm off to make myself happy...going to scrapbooks pictures of a trip to Sedona that we took last November.
Happy Saturday!

It's been a wicked crazy week! I have been so tired and busy. I have not scraped in a while...well, I'm working on a secret project with some friends. Until then...sssshhhhh. I did start a chipboard album last night, but was so tired that I stopped midway and went to bed. I have a lot of ideas in mind. I just lack the energy right now to get them done. Pregnancy is kicking my butt!
So, I'm going to share some non-scrappy things today.
Ahhhh, they are cute right? The other day, I came down stairs to see them both sleeping together on Zeus' bed. They are really attached to each other and Max (the white one) is a great big brother. Last night, they were lying like this (Max usually gets stuck behind Zeus...poor guy) and we had to get the camera out. It was a kodak moment!
Then Jonas joined the fun. Zeus is so soft, like a teddy bear. I'm sure baby Grace will love snuggling next to him.
Hope you are having a great week. I'm off now to work on the chipboard album...must finish it by Saturday as it is going to be a housewarming gift!
Blessings,
Beth
Happy Friday! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend. Not sure what I'm up to...rest, scrapbooking, shopping, maybe a movie...it's open. All I know is that it's been a long week! Here it is...the last page of Zeus scrapbook!
I used Imaginisce All Kinds of Happy glitter paper. I cut out diecuts from the Celebrations Cricut cartridge. I love the picture of Zeus with his eyes closed...it was a "bad" shot, but when I uploaded them to my computer, I actually thought it was cute. It looks like he's making a wish! Cute!
And now...the winner of the giveaway is Tina who said,
"WOW - WHAT A FUN GIVEAWAY - Thanks for the chance to win these - just so happens I don't have these yet."
Tina, email me with your address and I'll get these out to you right away. Thank you everyone for participating.
Blessings,
Beth
I'm catching up on Zeus' scrapbook. After he started growing out of the cute little puppy look, we slowed way down in picture taking. So, I'm almost done. He turned one in February and that's about the last layout of his scrapbook. He's still cute and there are times I can still see that adorable puppy face. Here are two layouts I made last night.
Sorry about my horrible picture taking. I actually did take a class...and my pictures didn't get much better. Anyway...back to the layouts. The dogs are actually not supposed to get on the furniture...but I wanted new couches so I let it happen...and now we no longer have this couch! It worked!!! And they do not get on our furniture anymore!! That cute doggie diecut came from the Paper Pups Cricut cartridge. The paper is from the Dog Cloud 9 collection.
I couldn't wait to use these embellishments from Jolee's stickers! Cute, huh? I love the tennis shoes. Notice Zeus' incredible growth? In the first layout (pictures from September), he's the same size as Max and then in the 2nd layout (pictures from October), he's already way bigger than Max! He's grew fast. He's still growing, but at a much slower pace. He's such a sweetheart.
One more day till the weekend! Yeah!! Not sure what I'm up to except rest! I bought a bunch of maternity clothes at Ross for about $100...if I'm good, should be enough to last the rest of my pregnancy. Don't forget to leave a comment in the "Copics and a Giveway" post by tonight.
Blessings,
Beth
I'm addicted to Copic markers...they are great and I can't stop buying them! I love Jennifer McGuire's blog post from today. She did a great job explaining what Copic markers are, the different types, how to use them, and where to get them. It made me want to organize my stash and buy more! But I will wait. I signed up for a Copic Techniques class for beginners. It will be on March 13th in Anaheim Hills. I will make myself wait till after that class to buy more...
I was inspired today to take stock of what I have now that I have more information about blending and buying markers within the same color groups and numbers. I downloaded a color chart from here and filled it out. This what I have so far...
I have a lot of blank spots. It makes me want to fill them! Again...patience and restraint... I bought some markers at the Ontario Scrapobok Expo last Fall and Jonas gave me a set for Christmas. Turns out I have two duplicates. So I'm doing a giveaway. I will be giving away these two Copic Ciao markers (these have never been used):
It's YR04 Chrome Orange and C7 Cool Grey. I'm also going to throw in a Alcohol Ink Applicator ...
and a package of Cut N Dry Foam Pad.
Leave a comment here by Midnight PST, Thursday, March 4th telling me what your experience is with this COPIC craze or what it will be...I will randomly pick and announce a winner by Friday noon PST.
Have a great week!
Blessings,
Beth
Last night we found out that our baby is a girl! So exciting! The ultrasound technician was super nice and she gave us 19 ultrasound pictures! Jonas and I were both excited before, but now that we know we are having a girl, we are so much more looking forward to her birth. The anticipation has definitely risen. So now we wait till July. And I know it will be hard to keep myself out of the baby stores...
So with all those ultrasound pictures, it was hard to settle on a layout design. I chose not to use all the pictures...
I wanted the pictures to be the focal point so I kept the layout simple. I used paper and embellishments from Creative Imaginations. There are also two stickers from EK Success. The title was from the New Arrival Cricut cartridge. I also used a Fiskars punch to create the border. It was really amazing to see all the changes from the last ultrasound. Being pregnant is incredible! So now that we know it's a girl, I won't have to return the cute baby clothes I bought a few weeks ago...
I'm really looking forward to this weekend! Happy Friday!!!
Blessings,
Beth
Ah, scrapbook therapy! Really needed it. It has been a crazy week at work and it's only Tuesday! I've been in the classroom presenting to students. My appreciation for teachers has again been renewed! It's hard work speaking all day and saying the same thing over and over. Add to that classroom management!
I had those pregnancy pictures developed. Loved how they came out. Right away, I was inspired to scrap.
I love this scrapbook paper. My friend April gave it to me as part of a Yah, Your Pregnant Gift! It's from Provo Craft and it has images of pregnant women relaxing, shopping, etc. I realized that I had been using a lot of pink in my layouts...and what if I end up having a boy? So I thought I'd better start using more neutral colors until we find out the sex of the baby. I used embellishments from Creative Imaginations and a few from other companies (part of my gift from April).
My goal for this week is to stay sane. I splurged a little this afternoon on pregnancy clothes. Realized there are a lot of homely looking preggo clothes out there! I'm also going to focus on "Q-TIP"...as my friend Eva says, it stands for Quit Taking It Personal. And I'm already looking forward to this weekend...scrapbooking with friends on Saturday and out to a chick flick with gal pals on Sunday. Nothing like time out with friends. Hope you are having a great week!
Blessings,
Beth
Greeting! It's been a while since I've blogged. It was a long and busy week. I had a great weekend with my hubbie! On Saturday, we rested, went out for Sushi, a movie. Then today, we went to church, cruised by the beach, and then spent the afternoon at Dave and Buster's. We had fun playing games. I think we both are into Guitar Hero now...what a fun game!
And! I did some papercrafting today. I made two baby cards. Hey...what else is on my mind these days?! We still haven't found out the sex of our baby yet. Hopefully, Wednesday night. Keep your fingers crossed. I'm hoping the baby cooperates.
I used a Hero Arts polka dot stamp on the brown, blue, and lavendar backgrounds. I cut out the scalloped squares with the Cricut New Arrival cartridge. The bear and the heart I cut out with the Doodlecharms cartridge. The sentiment I created on Word and printed out. Not too bad, huh? I'm not sure how I like the bear...I might experiment with it or use other images.
Hope you have a wonderful week! I'm not getting much time to papercraft during the week, so if not sooner, see you next weekend...
Blessings,
Beth
